What we collect when you apply

Your name, email address, phone number and postcode; whether you have a van; your declaration that you have the right to work in the UK; your DVLA licence check code; your Hire & Reward insurance certificate; and your CV if you choose to send one.

What we do not collect

We do not collect passport or identity document images, photographs of you, or DBS certificates through this website. A photograph of an identity document is not a valid right-to-work check, so collecting one here would put your data at risk for no benefit. These are handled directly with you at onboarding.

Lawful basis

We process your application on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest (a recognised GDPR ground meaning we have a genuine business reason that does not unfairly override your own interests) in assessing people who want to drive with BCN. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Right-to-work checks

Before you start, we will complete a right-to-work check using a Home Office share code or your original document, and keep a dated record of it as the law requires.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent, or object to how we use it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
